Job Overview
The Manager, Accounting (Reporting) is responsible for supervising the preparation, consolidation, scheduling, and issuance of the following reports:
IFRS MIF reporting to DAG (monthly)
MBUSA Employee Benefit Plan Annual reports (401K, Pension and VEBA) (annually)
Various US Government reports (annually, monthly or quarterly)
Various financial statements (Monthly)
Balance sheet and income statement projections (1st and 2nd expectations submissions (2 Times a year).
Monthly P and L estimates for monthly full-year estimate.
Cash forecasts(monthly) Pension reports(quarterly)
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise the preparation and consolidation of various financial statements under IFRS Standards and reports to ensure the statements as submitted to DAG are accurate and timely
Supervise 2 financial analysts in other general accounting functions (including journal entry preparation, account analyses, cash flow forecasting, and Internal Control System( ICS) testing)
Supervise the analyses and maintenance of various general ledger and subsidiary accounts and records
Coordinate and assist in KPMG quarterly reviews and the annual financial statement audit. Provide PBCs to KPMG.
Plan and coordinate annual benefit plan audits (Pension, VEBA, and 401(k)) performed by Warren Avarett, CPAs.
Respond to frequent DAG questions and requests for additional analyses in a timely and professional manner
Work with the Shared Services organization on issue resolution Monitor, interpret, evaluate, and implement accounting pronouncements of the IAS. (Upon Occurrences).
Stay current on Pensions and PRHC accounting and disclosure requirements.
Ensure ICS compliance with all documentation design and effectiveness testing requirements by assigned deadlines.
Responsible for the accounting of the Market Support within SAP which includes gathering the appropriate information, developing and booking the required journal entries, and preparing the account analyses for all related accounts
Duties also include supervising the Market Support Accounting and reporting analyst.
Adhere to ICS documentation design and effectiveness testing requirements by assigned deadlines
Qualifikationen Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) with a minimum of 7 - 10 years (total) of experience with an emphasis in:
Accounting - Comprehensive Knowledge of internal controls, recording and reporting of financial transactions, including the origination of the transaction, its recognition, processing, and summarization in the financial statements.
Business General - Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.
Finance - Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing the impact of financial information
