Physician - Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon - Full Time Academic

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport seek a Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to add to the team. Must be eligible for active Louisiana licensure and BC/BE. This position would be for an Assistant or Associate Position. We have a rapidly growing and strong Orthopedics Department in both the academic and community settings.

Highlights of the Position:

• Level I Trauma Center with more than 3,300 patients per year
• 1,441 ortho trauma cases
• 14 Faculty Members (Spine, Trauma, Sports Medicine, Hand, General), 20 Residents, 12 APPs
• Programs include working with Shriners Hospital for Children & Overton Brooks Veteran Administration Medical Center
• High existing volumes
• Collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient.

This position:

• Combines teaching and patient care
• Emphasizes teaching and provides vitally important leadership and guidance to medical students and residents
