Salary Expectations:
- Wages starting at $36.00 / hour
*Starting wages are higher depending on experience
Education/Experience:
- Hold a current RN license in goodstanding with the Board of Nursing (Required)
- Experience with maintaining and carrying out theInfection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship Program (preferred)
- Experience with PointClickCare (preferred)
- Skilled Nursing Experience: 3 years (preferred)
- Assisting DON with managing the unit, including assigning tasks and duties to nursing staff
- Assisting DON with ensuring Bermuda VillageHealth Center is in compliance with relevant regulations, laws andaccreditation standards
- Coordinating care for residents, includingcoordinating with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals toensure that residents receive the necessary treatments and therapies
- Communicating with residents and their familiesto keep them informed about their care and progress
- Participating in the development andimplementation of care plans for residents
- Performing medical record audits/reports tomaintain accurate and complete medical records for residents
- Ensuring nursing staff admission and dischargeprocesses are complete and met within 48 hours
- Organize staff education, training and supportas needed
- Assist in insuring units are well-maintained andthat all necessary supplies and equipment are available
- Audit missed medications/treatments
- Audit V/S compliance
- Audit CNA documentation compliance
- Audit Nursing documentation compliance
- Tracking patient falls
- TB documentation and screening
- Narcotic tracking
- Review all new physician orders
- Inspection of medication cart and follow up withpharmacist monthly inspection findings
- Audit patient charts to ensure H&P, D/Csummary and all necessary assessments and forms are in compliance
- Prepare statistical data for QAPI (quality assurance processimprovement) meetings (falls, ,infections, reportable wounds, other key performance indicators as identified)
Customer Service:
- Responsible for ensuring that all employees areproviding excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Perform job duties for residents and with teammembers in a courteous and professional manner
- Take initiative to ensure resident safety andsatisfaction is a priority
- Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpfulmanner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, currentresidents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families,referral sources, vendors and regulators)
- Answer phones appropriately, according tocompany and community standards
Resident's Rights:
- Ensure compliance and understanding of allregulations regarding residents' rights
- HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Other:
- Follows & communicates company policies andprocedures
- The job description provides a framework for thejob; other duties may be assigned as necessary
- May work in other positions temporarily whennecessary
- Is subject to callback during emergencyconditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
- Is subject to injury from falls, burns fromequipment, odors, etc., through the workday, as well as to reactions from dust,disinfectants, and other air contaminants
- May be subject to the handling of and exposureto hazardous chemicals
Physical/Sensory Requirement:
- Medium work: ability to exert 10-35 pounds offorce frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of forceconstantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Must function independently and haveflexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively withresidents and staff
- Must be able to relate to and work with the ill,disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile people within thecommunity
Work Environment:
- Clean, well lit, comfortable environment(personal office space)
- Exposure to sights and smells associated withmedical treatments in progress
- Low to Moderate noise environment
