Trystar's team members are our most important asset and we are currently in search of a Director of Business Process Excellence to join our team in Minnesota (Faribault or Burnsville). This position is new to Trystar and will be key in shaping the organization for the next 5 years. Trystar is a high growth company (both organic and through acquisitions) and will require cross enterprise leadership from this team to ensure we deliver our customers high quality solutions in industry leading lead times. You will be responsible for identifying key areas of improvement and sourcing the teams to execute the work. Your contributions will be highly visible and the expectation is continued value returned back to the business.

In this role you will get to:
  • Define the strategy for business process excellence at Trytsar
  • Develop a roadmap to execute against that strategy
  • Work in all areas of the business
  • Own the continuous improvement culture at Trystar
  • Build a high performing team as opportunities present themselves and justify additional headcount
  • Develop business plans for proposed engagements
  • Implement systems to sustain step function changes
  • Build and optimize process

Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Familiarity with standard root cause analysis methodologies (KT, is/is-not, fishbone, 5 whys, etc...)
  • Previous experience leading operations, manufacturing engineering or quality in a production environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and manage resistance to change
  • Track record of sustaining change (assemblers to CEO)
  • Ability to communicate project value to different organizational stakeholders
  • Know how to use data to influence decision making

Preferred Skills:
  • PMP certification
  • Lean Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience in electromechanical assembly
  • Familiarity with Epicor

ADDITIONAL Information
  • Position may require up to 25% travel within North America.
  • Fluency in Spanish or French would be a plus
  • Position reports to Trystar Chief of Staff
