Description:

Develop and maintain policies and procedures applicable to the operations of the plant in the areas including Material Handling, Inventory Control, and Operations Support.
Manage the activities of the materials team members regarding production support, inventory control, and data reporting.
Confer with the Production manager and Materials manager to establish work schedules, as well as accountabilities and goals for performance evaluations.
Manage for maximum efficiency and productivity of personnel.
Maintain adherence to company policies,safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Monitor and report scrap and otherinventory-related data to maintain accurate levels of production material.
Communicate effectively with the team and maintain positive employee relations.
Monitor scheduling of incoming production material to ensure adequate inventory levels.
Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
Environmental, Health& Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.
Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
Employee must have the ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).

Required Education Level:

Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study:

Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,Finance, or similar. *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):
  • 5-7Minimum years of experience within the field.
  • 3-5 Minimum years of experience withinthe automotive industry.
  • 2-3 Minimum years of experience within supply chain management
  • 1-3 Minimum years in OEM Master Scheduling / Customer Relations
  • Strong communicator who's detail oriented and consistent in their approach and follow-through.
  • High degree of computer / data analytics skills
  • High degree of Microsoft Excel skills
  • Positive team-centered approach, self-starter, focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage complex multi-facility environment

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):
  • Working knowledge of OEM customer systems/portals
  • Senior level skilled materials manager
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience in all supply chain areas: Logistics, Planning, Supplier Relations
