The Systems Engineer III will develop high-quality, innovative and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.

This position will serve our Air Division, located in Fort Smith, AR or Lewisville, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Develops engineering information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.
  • Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed Develop process flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify operational requirements and solutions.
  • Collaboration with engineering and research teams with the development of engineering tools such as heat transfer simulation programs used for HVACR design and regulatory rating metrics.
  • Determines operational feasibility through, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems Track/maintain project schedules to ensure on-time completions.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Rheem's competitive products, and keep abreast of industry activities and product and technology trends.
  • Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of Experience in software development Proficiency in Java, Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, C#, SQL, JavaScript, and object-oriented design skills.
  • Application architecture and design patterns Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in the development of distributed/scalable systems including desktop and web-based systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Project management skills and knowledge required Knowledge of the function of HVACR equipment.
