SENS is seeking a self-motivated functional test engineer to join our growing company. This individual will work in Engineering to ensure continuous flow of manufactured product without defects.

POSITION
SENS is seeking a self-motivated functional test engineer to join our growing company. This individual will work in Engineering to ensure continuous flow of manufactured product without defects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design test plans, fixtures and associated software for functional test of components, primarily power and control printed-circuit boards with associated firmware.
- Ensure fixtures are efficient and robust for volume production and provide clear indication of pass/fail.
- Write, maintain and improve software used to test products.
- Ensure a high level of test coverage for each component.
- Analyze rejected material data to improve test coverage.
- Work with vendors to deploy fixtures and verify proper operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in a technical field of study.
- 5 or more years of test engineering, including test plan and fixture development
- Experience working and communicating with test equipment such as voltmeters, data acquisition systems, load banks and similar instruments to make manual and automated measurements.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot printed circuit boards in order to determine test coverage short-comings.
- Experience writing software for functional test, C and C# preferred.
- Experience with bed-of-nails and connectorized functional test fixtures.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot technical systems and their associated communication interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills for articulating technical approaches and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Flexible team player who actively establishes and maintains effective working relationships with company management and co-workers, suppliers, and occasionally with customers.
- Ability to multi-task in a small company environment.
- In-depth knowledge of critical power genset backup, charger/battery systems or battery monitoring is a plus.
