Position Summary
Under the direction of the CHRO or Senior Director of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Manager will lead Unity's talent acquisition team, including dedicated recruiters and administrative staff, while collaborating with senior leaders, corporate associates, and hiring managers to drive effective hiring strategies. The Talent Acquisition Manager trains, develops, and mentors recruiters, enhancing recruitment efforts, customer service, and overall hiring efficiency. They provide guidance to management on identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline talent acquisition. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Manager may actively source, interview, and screen candidates for current and future job openings, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and promoting career opportunities within the organization.

Essential Functions
- Supports the organization's talent acquisition strategy, including external recruitment marketing, onboarding, and talent planning, while educating and assisting hiring managers.
- Leads full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new hire orientation for all clinical and non-clinical roles, ensuring alignment with organizational needs. Serves as the primary contact for recruiters, addressing inquiries, resolving escalations, and providing ongoing direction, support, and feedback.
- Manages vendor relationships to optimize contract staffing solutions and collaborates with external partners (e.g., apprenticeship programs, workforce development boards, and community-based organizations) to support hiring initiatives.
- Works with internal communications to develop and execute strategic recruitment marketing campaigns, strengthening Unity's employer brand. Leads LinkedIn and social media campaigns to attract talent and engage passive candidates.
- Develops and implements cost-effective recruitment strategies, identifying workforce trends to reduce open positions, time-to-fill, and overall turnover. Partners with departments to tailor and execute recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Sources qualified candidates for complex roles through databases, networking, online recruiting platforms, cold calls, media, recruiting firms, and referrals. May arrange and/or attend job fairs.
- Standardizes and streamlines hiring processes to enhance the candidate experience and improve recruiter and hiring manager efficiencies, regularly reviewing and refining procedures.
- Implements and monitors key performance metrics, such as time-to-fill and provider hires, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Ensures compliance with hiring regulations and audit requirements, including DOES, DOL, and EEO standards.
- Trains and develops recruiters and hiring managers, providing best practices on candidate experience, employer branding, and communication. Offers individualized training on recruiting systems and procedures.
- Leads, coaches, and develops the recruitment team, ensuring excellence in talent acquisition, communication, and outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or a related field
- 5-7 years related experience in human resources, staffing and recruitment, leadership and organizational development. Labor Relations experience preferred.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), sourcing and recruitment marketing tools required. ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience and tech savvy with social media, job boards, job descriptions and postings, and effective candidate sourcing and attraction strategies.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to candidates, managers, and other employees of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize time management skills. Able to multi-task in a changing and deadline driven environment.
- Ability to work on complex problems and make objective employment decisions.
- Experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), non-profit mission-based organizations, or in healthcare preferred.
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking, and talent management systems required.
- Ability to travel up to 15% to clinical, client, vendor sites and job fairs/events throughout Washington DC is required.
