Job Summary:
The Project Manager will oversee hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater modeling, drainage facility design, and support projects for private and public sectors. This role is responsible for managing complex engineering tasks, including marketing, business development, and team growth. The Project Manager will establish priorities, develop schedules, and ensure the successful completion of multiple projects in a team-based environment. Additionally, this role includes reviewing progress, providing updates to management, and delegating tasks to team members, including EITs, Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, CAD Technicians, and Designers.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the design and delivery of projects in a profitable and timely manner.
  • Oversee technical aspects of various engineering projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Monitor milestones to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Complete monthly project accounting and invoicing.
  • Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures.
  • Represent clients and the firm in meetings with governmental agencies.
  • Prepare proposals and participate in or lead interviews.
  • Mentor and supervise engineers, EITs, and designers, guiding their professional development.
  • Lead or assist in the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports for complex projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and strategic partners.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating EHRA's core values.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with team members, clients, and governmental agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of stormwater modeling software and drainage facility design:
    • Software experience: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS/ArcPro., XPSWMM/XPSTORM, InfoWorks ICM, AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Knowledge of the full drainage project lifecycle, from preliminary studies to final design.
  • General understanding of construction processes and practices.
  • Ability to prepare proposals, scopes of work, and qualification packages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients, peers, and public agency staff.
  • Ability to coach and motivate team members.


Work Environment:
  • Operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
  • May require occasional exposure to construction areas, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and hearing protection.


Education, Certification, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater modeling/design.
  • Valid TX Driver's License and the ability to travel to project sites as required.


Physical Requirements:
  • Primarily sedentary, with occasional movement within the office or at construction sites.
  • May require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
