Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Communications Manager, Social Media to join HCA Healthcare's Corporate Communications Team focused on telling stories across social media that showcase the organization serving its patients, colleagues and communities. Reporting to the Director, Public Relations, the Social Media Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of HCA Healthcare's multi-channel corporate social media accounts. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for influencing and executing social channel strategy, content development, copywriting, video, imagery, graphics, campaign support and data analytics. We are looking for an effective people leader, collaborative creative partner and data-led decision maker to partner with cross-functional business units to implement and optimize social media strategies to increase HCA Healthcare brand awareness.

What you will do in this role:
Build and execute a connected and measurable communications strategy that leverages HCA Healthcare's corporate social media accounts to reach key audiences and deliver on brand objectives.
Manage team assignments to create social media content and storytelling around HCA Healthcare's patients, colleagues and communities. Oversee corporate social media account operations, copywriting, creative asset development, crisis management and implementation of brand social media storytelling. Ensures social media brand messaging is cohesive and compelling.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs. Deliver corporate social media content that is platform-specific and engagement-oriented.
Cultivate strategic relationships and collaborate across cross-functional groups including internal and external communications, marketing, human resources, recruitment and consumer content teams to encourage the value and vision of social media as a communications vehicle.
Serve as an enterprise-wide collaborative resource to develop and share social media guidelines, trends and best practices with regional and corporate counterparts, assessing future-oriented social media platforms, technology and storytelling methods.
Influence enterprise-wide social media channel standards for writing and scripting, brand safety and video and graphic creative ideation.
Create scalable social media content for regional counterparts to amplify positive narratives across HCA Healthcare-affiliated social accounts.
Liaise with leadership, creative vendors, community partners, external media/PR teams, agencies, paid partners and influencers to evolve and improve HCA Healthcare's social media brand image, voice and goals.
Guide and present executive-level reports with recommendations and insights on social media success, opportunities, audience behavior, KPIs and benchmarks.
Develop guidelines on community management and shape social media monitoring, response and escalation processes to protect brand integrity. Identify high-value and high-risk social media behavior

What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field.
7-10 years of experience in public relations and/or social media interfacing roles, including communications, journalism, agency or account management, content strategy, and /or crisis communications.
Exceptional AP writing and editing skills with proven expertise in using different styles and voice to reflect the nature of the individual, audience and message. Eye for details like grammar, punctuation and tone.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-level social media management tools such as Khoros, Sprout Social or a similar tool. BrandWatch and Meltwater experience a plus.
Deep knowledge of social media trends, audience behaviors and best practices for brands.
Understanding of social media KPIs and interpreting metrics to enhance user engagement, content optimization and drive performance.
Displays reporter characteristics of uncovering relevant facts, stats and analytics to back up unique storytelling angles.
Exceptional written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills, including a proven ability to think strategically and work in a high-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects.
