SUMMARY:

The Claims Strategy Analyst (CSA) will assist the Claims Strategy Manager facilitate the enhancement of systems, procedures, tools, and services within the claims department. Additionally, the CSA will assist with developing and implementing training programs as needed or requested for current staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as product owner/liaison between Claims and the Claim Center Team.
Review procedures, analyze systems and tools to ensure maximum benefit and positive customer experience while affecting accurate, timely, cost-effective handling of claims.
Conduct proof of concept and cost benefit analysis of systems and tools.
Map and enhance processes.
Conduct efficiency analysis.
Develop new claims solutions across all lines of business.
Lead initiatives that optimize processes.
Conduct research and analyses of operational effectiveness and weakness.
Make recommendations based on internal and external factors to minimize risks.
Formulate plans to achieve long term goals.
Assist with resource allocation.
Plan, implement and manage proposed recommendations and projects working across departments.
Monitor and report on projects.
Support and guide claims leadership decision making processes.
Vendor management.
Policy retention management and compliance.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A four-year degree from an accredited institution.
10 years, hands-on claims handling experience.
2 or more years' leadership experience.
Project management experience following an Agile methodology.
Experience supporting deployment of claims technology solutions.
Functional knowledge of Guidewire software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to think critically and independently. Comfort with a high degree of ambiguity. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate.
