We are seeking a professional, energetic, and highly organized nanny to provide exceptional care for our two boys, ages 4, in Manhattan during the school year and the Hamptons during the summer. The ideal candidate will be proactive, nurturing, and capable of balancing caregiving with light household management. This is a live-out position in Manhattan and live-in during the summer months in the Hamptons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving care for two boys, including engaging in age-appropriate activities that foster intellectual, emotional, and social development.
- Plan and facilitate enriching outings, such as trips to museums or parks.
- Maintain consistent discipline aligned with family values, encouraging positive behavior and teaching boundaries.
- Assist with school routines, including morning preparation, drop-off, and pick-up.
- Manage household tasks related to the children, such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying.
- Run errands and complete tasks as directed during school hours.
- Collaborate with another full-time nanny on overlapping days and assist with team-based caregiving as needed.
- Travel with the family during summer months and occasional vacations, providing extended care as required.
- Manhattan (School Year): Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week, with variable start and end times depending on family needs (e.g., some days 7 AM starts, other days noon starts).
- Hamptons (Summer): Live-in Monday through Friday, with accommodations provided on a separate floor from the children.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in childcare or education.
- Demonstrated ability to provide structured discipline while fostering independence.
- Proficiency in driving; must have a valid driver's license and comfortable driving in the Hamptons.
- Passport for potential international travel with the family.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and other household staff.
- Experience with water safety and swimming; ability to supervise children in and around water.
- Flexible and adaptive personality, with a high level of energy to match the needs of active young boys.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- $75,000 - $100,000 gross annual salary ($30- $35 an hour), with the potential to earn up to $120,000 with bonuses, overtime, and travel compensation.
- Two weeks of paid vacation annually.
