The Superintendent of Remelt Operations position is responsible for leading a team of employees in day-to-day operations of Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost. This includes all aspects of production demands, supply chain and personnel management. The position is instrumental with ensuring optimal throughput and production efficiencies by developing and implementing cost effective processes and equipment utilization strategies that meet production goals and objectives.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
  • Create a zero-injury culture by building trust and reducing our tolerance for risk.
  • Manage personnel including task assignments, performance management, policy adherence and development.
  • Measure, monitor and analyze production performance in a 24x7 operating environment and make necessary adjustments to meet business objectives.
  • Research, propose and implement improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles to improve safety, quality, efficiency, costs and meet performance goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers with intimate involvement in problem solving


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' leadership experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with Lean Principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing, guiding, and developing employees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities typically required to perform the essential functions of this job.

Knowledge of:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.
  • Sufficient knowledge of company, products, objectives and operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of production, operations, and materials planning, practices, and processes.
  • Oracle, Maximo, etc. experience a plus.

Skilled in:
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven leadership skills to effectively guide and develop subordinates.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.

Ability to:
  • Ability to successfully balance multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with and through others to achieved desired results.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely thru the implementation of long-term solutions.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to foster collaborations, inspire confidence, and motivate individuals across diverse teams in a manufacturing environment in order to meet objectives.
  • Ability to be flexible with work priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
