Description:
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the medical records team, ensuring accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
- Develop and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for the department.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
- Supervise medical records staff and provide training and evaluation.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare information management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Credentialed as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
- Training in post-acute care health information management.
- Currently licensed/registered in applicable State.
- Maintain active Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in good standing throughout employment..
