Our Centralized Distribution Team is looking for a candidate to lead one of our Preferred Distribution Suppliers. In this role, the successful candidate will develop, support, and execute sourcing strategies based on existing and forecasted spend. Navigate supply and demand challenges with marketplace conditions while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Assist in preparing awards, creates/reviews electronic purchase orders (ePO) in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements and terms and conditions. Ensure BAE systems leverages spend, effectively utilizes resources, driving to best practices and improving overall supplier performance. This role emphasizes supplier engagement and relationship management.
This position interfaces with many internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to supply chain management, supplier quality, manufacturing, engineering, program management, distribution suppliers, and original component manufacturers. The successful candidate must be an effective communicator, able to build mutually beneficial relationships, be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives with a continuous improvement mindset.
This is a fully remote position with occasional requirements to be present onsite for team/supplier/program meetings.

Required Skills and Education
- Experience in a large, complex, multifaceted electronics manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or 5 years or more of procurement related work experience preferably in a government-contracting environment.
- Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations and the understanding of the role of procurement in complex industries.
- Experience in buying across various electronics commodities.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers.
- Contract management and negotiation.
- Strong business acumen with excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills. Ability to successfully interface with various leadership teams.
- Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and the nature of flow down requirements.
- Knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- U.S. Citizenship

- Technical Background (ability to read drawings)
- Professional Supply Chain Certification: C.P.M., C.P.S.M., P.M.P.
