Position Summary
The Associate Executive Director (AED) will work in partnership with the Senior Executive Director to lead and manage operations for the aquatics, health and wellness, outdoor education, and tennis departments at the Presidio Community YMCA. This includes oversight of a diverse range of programs such as swim and tennis lessons, personal training, collaboration in facilitating our camp programs across departments, external partnerships, group exercise, wellness programs, and outreach. The AED will supervise program directors, staff, and volunteers to ensure high-quality service delivery and foster a positive impact on the community. Additionally, this role supports the branch board, leads a board committee, and contributes to association-wide leadership teams.

Salary Description
This full-time, exempt position ranges from $105,888 to $127,065 annually. Compensation is determined based on benchmarking against industry standards for similar roles, considering relevant experience, qualifications, and regional market conditions. Final offers are subject to the availability of grant funding and organizational budget approval.

- Adapt programs to address emerging community needs.
- Ensure programs align with the YMCA's mission, policies, and strategic priorities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Support team development through coaching, training, and mentoring.
- Serve as frontline branch HR, addressing concerns in collaboration with the Senior Executive Director and centralized HR team.
- Build relationships with community stakeholders and partners to strengthen the YMCA's presence and impact.
- Lead community fundraising initiatives and promote a culture of philanthropy.
- Work with the branch board and lead a designated board committee to support organizational objectives.
- Drive financial sustainability through effective budget management, program revenue generation, and fundraising.
- Collaborate on branch budget and strategic planning with the Senior Executive Director.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming branch environment for members and participants.
- Implement operational improvements to enhance program delivery and member experience.
- Uphold safety, risk management, and compliance standards.
- Represent the branch in association-wide working groups and initiatives.
- Foster collaboration with other YMCA branches and external partners to expand program reach and impact.
- Responsibilities include staff supervision, community engagement, volunteer relations, fiscal management and strategy, marketing, program development, grant oversight, facility management, and fostering continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in community or nonprofit leadership.
- Relevant experience in youth programming, sports, wellness management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in supervisory roles.
- Proven experience with budget and grant management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools.
- Strong leadership background with a track record of effective team management and community engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce or similar systems.
- Background in facilities and operations management.
- Expertise in leading safety initiatives and operations.
