Job Title: Sales Engineer - Buildings
Pay Rate: Up to 130K
Responsibilities:
Ensure the Sales team are provided with timely, accurate and optimal quotations and pre-order assistance on quotes.
Assist Sales with understanding of pricing software and its capabilities.
Provide design recommendations, loading assistance and value engineering ideas to peer estimators as required.
Responsible for MBS originated estimates, engineering packages, and procurement packages
Masters MBS project templates, standards, and procedures
Provide supporting design documentation as required by project scope and applicable building codes.
Aid in the design of project specific components to meet structural and design criteria.
Mentor and train department personnel.
Peer review work originated by others
Provide sales with the necessary building design details to meet customer requests.
Meet multiple project deadlines while providing accurate project deliverables.
Interact with internal and external customers and external engineering to clarify project scope, details, and product limitations.
Responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating financial risk exposure
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer License
This candidate must have experience completing project estimates, calculations, building manufacturer drawings, and fabrication detailing using MBS
Preferred AutoCAD experience
Solid knowledge of building codes and specifications
Advanced knowledge of engineering codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE7, etc)
Highly organized, self-motivated, strong communicator, and respected leader
Proficient in RISA or similar programs for completing structural analysis independent of MBS
