Strategy Director

Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is seeking a Director of Strategy to join our Strategy & Corporate Development team. This team supports long-term profitable growth through strategic planning / programs and end-to-end corporate development, from M&A strategy to transaction execution to integration. Location: Plymouth, MN, hybrid

What you will do:

• Drive overall Strategy effort, owning delivery of strategic plan and priority programs
• Lead Strategy team as part of Strategy & Corp Dev
• Manage DAA Way Operating System, inc. annual business planning and strategy deployment - governance / rhythms, scorecard, EMPO, coordination with talent planning
• Manage high-priority strategic programs, e.g. new growth areas or transformation efforts
• Manage "outside-in" focus - industry trends, market dynamics, competitive landscape, benchmarking
• Coordinate with the Corp Dev regarding M&A opportunities
• communication with executive leadership on Strategy topics
• Support continuous improvement / playbook projects

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics or related field of study
• 10 years of progressive experience in corporate strategy or consulting, including leading cross-functional, enterprise level initiatives
• 8 years of experience leading people

Preferred education and expereince:

• MBA or advanced degree
• Program management training/certificate
• Process improvement experience or certification; Lean or Six Sigma
• M&A transaction experience
• Proven strategic planning and program execution experience
• HVAC Applied experience
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical skills, with ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights
• Proven project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities, manage timelines and coordinate large cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence and build consensus

The typical base salary for this role in MN ranges from $142,600.00 - $232,00.00 plus bonus. Actual pay will be based on experience and levels of expertise
