Job Responsibilities

Oversee the design and implementation of automation and control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMIs, and related technologies.
  • Experience using Rockwell Automation products, including Allen-Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, ControlNet and related technologies.
  • Lead the design and development of PLC and HMI programs.
  • Select and integrate hardware components like controllers, input/output modules, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and industrial networks.
  • Manage or support projects as the primary controls resource from front end design through commissioning: serve as the interface between stakeholders and contracted support
  • Author, review and approve deliverables (proposals, drawings, documents, etc.)
  • Manage the activities of on-site project resources; define detailed plan necessary to complete approved projects on schedule and within budget; support testing and commissioning activities; ensure the deliverable is technically and functionally correct.
  • Develop validation documentation and implement validation plans for control systems.
  • Develop documents per FDA cGMP and GAMP standards, functional specifications, design specifications and requirements trace matrices.
  • Design, program, test and validate process control automation systems.
  • Prepare and execute validation protocols (AIQ, IQ, OQ) for 21 CFR Part 11 compliance per FDA requirements
  • Ensure compliance with ISA S88 industry standards in cGMP environment.
  • This is a hybrid position that required 3 days onsite.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • We require a BS Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the development, maintenance and validation of automated control systems for Lead Engineering and/or Project Management positions or a Masters degree with 6 months of experience in the development, maintenance and validation of automated control systems.
  • Familiarity of control systems with a focus in Rockwell systems, preferred but not required for other control systems such as Siemens, Wonderware, DeltaV, Thin Clients, etc
  • Familiarity of virtualization technologies including HyperV and VMware
  • Familiarity of infrastructure networking
  • Familiarity of pharmaceutical manufacturing systems.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.

Skillsets
  • Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Visio and Access).
  • PLC, HMI, RSLogix, FTView, FT AssetCentre, ControlNet Allen Bradley
  • Windows OS
  • HMI (Graphics/Design), P&ID, MODBUS, PROFIBUS, Ethernet Network Design.
  • Experience in Field Layout and Electrical Wiring. Industrial Automation.
  • Troubleshooting/Testing Equipment and Practices.
