Responsibilities:
- Manages NCEL projects as directed by the project management office and the lottery.
- Schedules and leads project status meetings to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date on progress.
- Schedules and leads meetings with internal departments and outside vendors, as required by a project or a potential project.
- Works with outside vendors on system changes, enhancements or new functionality.
- Works with the project management office to prepare project plans, schedules, and tasks for assigned projects.
- Conducts and leads a weekly Change Control Board meeting.
- Reviews specifications created by vendors for system enhancements, bug fixes or new functionality.
- Responsible for planning and leading yearly multi-departmental tax project for 1099 and W2G files for the Internal Revenue Service.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree and at least 5 years of prior project management experience.
- Advanced time management and analytical skills.
- Skills in Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet software collaboration and time management tools.
- Knowledge of business processes and systems used within the lottery is helpful.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal department and external vendors.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to delegate project tasks among departments and track their completion.
- Track overall project performance, specifically to the successful completion of the project.
- Ability to make adjustments due to project constraints based on factors presented.
- Ability to establish standards for projects as assigned by the project management office.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) or Certified associate in project management (CAPM) Certification or equivalent experience.
