Strategic Ventures is currently recruiting a Senior USMC Planning Policy Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the USMC Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration (CD&I) in establishing procedures to incorporate directives from higher authorities and related organizations into the force development process
  • Evaluate and design military or governmental programs and strategies to create a sound basis, both quantitatively and qualitatively, for decision-making, further program expansion, and activity coordination
  • Apply expertise in military operations, warfare strategies, political-military dynamics, and organizational structures to identify effective solutions
  • Create and present operational scenarios for use in modeling and simulation, while clearly explaining the modeling techniques and translating results into practical, usable outputs


Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • 20+ years of relevant military experience or government service and knowledge of National Defense Strategy and service-level operating concepts for the Marine Corps
  • 5+ years of experience as a Joint Operation Planner or completion of an advanced Service planning school such as SAMS, SAW, SAASS, MAWS, or JAWS
  • 1+ years of experience as a Joint Operation Planner
  • Expert military operator with experience developing concepts of operations, especially those involving USMC ground forces
  • Experience leading programs or projects; responsible for people, task and financial management
  • Expert in operational support for problem definition, requirement identification, concept development, and quality assurance of decision-support systems
