The Consumer Marketing Team is leading marketing transformation at Microsoft . AI is fundamentally changing how people relate to and benefit from technology and our marketing needs to follow suit. The Director of Integrated Marketing Communication s is instrumental in how our AI experiences, Cop ilot , shows up across our portfolio of Consumer products to our customers at each touch point along the journey . This role will report the Vice President of Consumer Integrated Marketing and will lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that drive consumer engagement and brand loyalty across the consumer portfolio which includes which includes Windows, Surface, M365, Designer, Edge, Bing, and the Copilot mobile app .

This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in integrated marketing, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and departments. In this role, you will work closely with product marketing and GTM teams to tell a unifying story across all of Microsoft's consumer products and services and measure campaign results. Responsibilities:

  • Lead annual and quarterly planning in partnership with Product Marketing and Sales to identify the largest business opportunities and to bring focus to our marketing execution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams from brief, to planning, to execut ing and optimizing marketing campaigns with a digital-native mindset .
  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints
  • Serve as the key strategic partner to the business, and reason over marketing response to changing market dynamics, strategic investments, competitive initiatives, product roadmaps, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that align with Microsoft's overall business objectives and brand vision.
  • Run a robust rhythm of business including MBRs, executive briefings, and sales reviews with a command of marketing performance, insights, and impact delivered.
  • Build a tight partnership across digital channels (web, social, paid media, events, etc.), inspiring digital marketing innovation that drives business outcomes.
  • Lead with customer empathy, being true to the Microsoft brand and the audiences you serve.
  • Cultivate a diverse and inclusive team culture to attract, retain , and grow top talent as a team leader.
  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets to achieve maximum ROI and efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to enhance marketing efforts.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns , launches and events , using data-driven insights to refine strategies and tactics.
  • Drive innovation and experimentation in marketing approaches to stay ahead of industry trends and consumer expectations.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 7+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 9+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 4+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in integrated marketing, with a focus on consumer marketing.
  • 10+ years management experience with track record of leading, inspiring motivating large cross functional teams in matrixed organizations.
  • Experience managing large marketing budgets and optimizing spend for maximum impact.
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels, social media platforms, and content marketing strategies.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work style, able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different levels and functions.
  • A growth mindset and a curiosity for learning, staying current with industry trends and best practices, willing to experiment, iterate, and adapt to changing environments and feedback.
Integrated Marketing M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $154,500 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $199,600 - $299,400 per year.
