About the role

The RegionalQuality and Regulatory Manager (RQRM) supports the Quality Assurance Teams forthe US region of the Americas (3 plants), primarily located in either Edison,NJ or Louisville, KY. The RQRM is responsible for working with US site QualityAssurance & Regulatory Managers (QARM) to ensure regulatory compliance withthe Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and to meet customer specificrequirements. This role is a point person for working with the US QualityDirector, Site Directors, Site Quality Assurance & Regulatory Managers,Regulatory Compliance Managers and Customer Innovation other stakeholders toalign production, development, cost-performance, and optimization of theindustry product portfolio from a quality and technical perspective, accordingto the industry strategy.

Responsibilities

The duties of theRegional Quality & Regulatory Manager include but are not limited to:
Work with Site Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Innovation, Operations and other stakeholders to ensure customer expectations on product specifications are aligned with AAK capabilities and raw material specification requirements.
Coordinate AAK Quality-related projects across multiple sites.
Design and develop quality control measures and systems across multiple sites.
Identify industry, regulatory and customer trends. Stay current with changes in regulations, regulatory guidance and science-based industry practices to incorporate them into future lab and quality systems planning.
Assist Quality & Regulatory Director, Site QARM with US and Global initiatives and strategies such as policy creation, program development, new system implementations and strategic vision.
Compile monitoring data and trending reports.
Provides on-site support as needed to plant QA leadership teams in the event of personnel changes or other significant events.
Domestic travel is required approximately 2 weeks each month, but can vary
Other duties as assigned.
About you

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry, Biology or other physical science or equivalent.
Master's degree preferred.
10+ years' experience leading Quality or Regulatory teams with a minimum 8 years of laboratory experience/ quality assurance experience in a food, beverage, drug or chemical laboratory.
2+ years in multi-site Quality or Regulatory management preferred.
Computer literacy is a must. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point). Laboratory Information Management System experience is a plus.
Project management and people management experience required.
Musthave Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification
