Winnebago Industries is seeking a Senior Accountant, External Reporting based at our Eden Prairie, MN location. This role is hybrid. The Senior Accountant will directly support the transformation and success of the external reporting and technical accounting team. This individual will have a strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting research and is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of the company's SEC filings in addition to supporting accounting policy development, training and compliance.

Day to Day of the Role:
Assist in the preparation of all aspects of Form 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other financial-related SEC filings.
Prepare quarterly analyses of the cash flow to support quarterly earnings calls and release of 10-Q/10-K.
Prepare monthly cash flow statement.
Calculate monthly Earnings Per Share (EPS) in compliance with US GAAP standards.
Lead the annual employee benefit plan audit, partnering with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
Prepare the monthly lease accounting journal entries for all business units and prepare technical lease accounting memos as needed in compliance with ASC 842.
Assist in the preparation of Audit Committee materials.
Lead the preparation and review of materials related to annual goodwill and intangibles impairment analysis.
Proactively manage and coordinate the quarterly review and annual audit process with external auditors.
Champion technical accounting efforts to ensure proper application and implementation of accounting rules and disclosure requirements, in addition to supporting company accounting policies.
Partner with the Corporate Accounting team and Business Finance groups on significant accounting transactions or initiatives, including accounting research and technical memo drafting.
Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting changes, including FASB pronouncements, SEC rules, and disclosure requirements.
Develop, maintain, and implement robust accounting policies, including developing training materials.
Involvement in significant enterprise initiatives, including financial due diligence and business combinations accounting.
Collaborate with the Reporting team to drive process improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes, including the use of software tools.
Execute other projects, as needed.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA license, active preferred
Thorough understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Minimum 3 years public accounting experience with a large CPA firm or relevant financial reporting experience with a public company preferred
Travel to other Winnebago locations may be required
