Position Highlights
The Director of Customs Business Development/Corporate Solutions will Design, develop, deliver, and administer efforts related to establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with various companies, organizations, and entities to support the University's mission and initiatives. Identifies new prospects through research and evaluates, analyzes, and formulates strategies for growth in strategic partnerships. Oversees the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful implementation of programs / strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities
Business Development
- Responsible for the overall development, implementation and progress of strategic targets.
- Develop intelligence for target markets and customers and initiate outbound sales campains.
- Maintain an organized and shared network of active and potential relationships.
- Drive sales, relationships, and college reputation by pursuing potential prospects in chosen markets.
- Identify and influence key decision-makers at all levels within prospect organizations.
- Identify business challenges where Eller Executive Education (EEE) could add value.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key prospect executives.
- Support the sales team in generating ideas, incubating opportunities, and closing sales.
- Qualify, pursue, and close opportunities throughout the proposal process.
- Distill complex academic information into prospect-friendly marketing communications.
- Support the Assistant Dean/Executive Director in managing market risks and prospect requirements.
- Travel within Arizona, nationally, and possibly internationally to represent Eller Executive Education (EEE).
Early-Stage Project Logistics
- Oversee and direct project plan formulation and management/risk management.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resource planning for successful project delivery.
- Serve as primary point of contact between the client, Eller Executive Education (EEE), and Eller Faculty for early project development.
- Plan early-stage logistical needs working closely with the program coordinator or manager and engaging the Assistant Dean/Executive Director and Academic Director when necessary.
- Oversee a business development team which evaluates, analyzes, and formulates business development strategies and activities including oversight of the open enrollment portfolio for the extension of lifelong learning to the working professional community for Eller College of Management and the University of Arizona.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
