Description:

The Commercial Project Manager will have responsibility to commercially price and execute the onshore logistic cargo opportunities with a focus on the dry bulk, breakbulk and project cargo sector, to develop and grow the Integral Solutions sector within Norton Lilly International.

Summary of Objectives:
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new markets and industries, with a focus on unitized break bulk, and project cargoes
  • Engage with clients to understand their logistics requirements, then prepare and submit bid for their consideration and award.
  • Manage and oversee integral solutions (onshore logistics), ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency, spanning barging, rail and over the road transport
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and seamless execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with port offices and commodity teams to develop product/services tailored to industry segments and/or individual targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.

Requirements:

Education / Experience:
  • Min 8-10 years of experience in onshore logistics preferably in dry bulk, break bulk or project cargo sector
  • Good network of vendors, suppliers to create custom solutions
  • Strong communication, social, and presentation skills with thorough attention to detail
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and executive visibility

  • Excellent communication skills and be comfortable communicating both internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and accident-free motor vehicle record.
