The Payroll Specialist role is a full-time position, operating during normal business hours. Initially, and through a training/transition period, this role is expected to be in-office but is subsequently eligible to become a hybrid role. The role will be located in the corporate headquarters, which consists of the executive management team and corporate, general and administrative support staff. This role will also work closely with the various finance and accounting personnel at our geographically and operationally diverse subsidiaries.

PAYROLL MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Processing of seven US based multi-jurisdictional payrolls for over 300 employees (including exempt and non-exempt) and two international based payrolls with the potential of expanding to five international based payrolls
  • Adherence to federal, state, local and international compliance requirements, including registrations, reporting and management of correspondence with jurisdictions.
  • Managing the software application (ADP) and building relationships with the vendor's personnel.
  • Enhancing employee relationships by responding to their payroll-related inquiries.
  • Responding to ad hoc reporting requests to support the Company's finance teams.
  • Providing needed audit documentation for audits of the Company's internal controls, 401(k) plan and workers compensation program.
  • Collaborating with the Company's human resources, finance and legal departments regarding benefits, legal entity structuring, etc.
  • Support processing of accounts payable transactions, as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • History of processing multi-jurisdictional payrolls including local, state and federal tax reporting and registrations.
  • Proficiency with ADP.
  • Implementing new payroll and benefit systems is a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Coupa is a plus.
  • Experience with international payrolls is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Problem-solving ability and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be viewed as a strong team player, a person who generates ideas to solve problems and has a high 'customer service' approach to their work.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for communication to all levels of management.


EXPERIENCE:

  • At least seven years of experience processing multi-jurisdictional payrolls for Companies with multiple payroll entities.
