The Spectrum Warfare Systems Engineering Branch (AFRL/RYWD), Sensors Directorate seeks to hire a Senior-level RF Electronic Warfare Engineer, DR-03 in Dayton, OH.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Leads the development, modeling, simulation, and evaluation of Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare sensors, countermeasure technologies, and systems to enhance the performance and survivability of aircraft.
- Leads laboratory, field/flight testing, and demonstration of advanced Electronic Warfare technologies and concepts.
- Leads and engages research groups across academia, industry, Intelligence Community and the DoD for the development of new and unique technology and assessment capabilities.
- Leads and manages the development of novel Radio-Frequency Hardware-in-the-loop Electronic Warfare technology.
- Provides subject matter expertise and leads the execution of open and closed loop Electronic Warfare assessments.
- Determines scenario requirements for specific Electronic Warfare assessment, develops assessment strategy, leads assessment team planning and execution in coordination with the assessment customer.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- This position is open to candidates currently at the DR-02 (or equivalent grade) level eligible for promotion and/or current DR-03 (or equivalent grade) level candidates for reassignment.
- Position will be filled using occupational series within the SCIENTIST AND ENGINEERING career field.
- Applicants must be able to meet the OPM Qualification Standards for the position being filled: 0854 Computer Engineering Series/0855 Electronics Engineering Series
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret with access to SCI and SAP security clearance, as condition of employment.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing.
- This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practioner) Non-Critical certification in Engineering and Technical Management (N);
- The selectee will have 60 months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained.
- Applicants must list all completed APDP certifications in their resume.
- The position is eligible for situational telework and will require routine mission travel, regular classified engagements, and in-person meetings that cannot always be scheduled around a regular/recurring telework schedule.
- Employee must live within the commuting area of Wright-Patterson AFB.
Desired Qualifications
Desired experiences or background include:
- Development of Radio-Frequency systems, signals, components, and/or test equipment
- Assessments of Radar and Electronic Warfare systems
- Development Open and closed-loop Radio-Frequency Electronic Warfare assessment technology
- Modeling of RF threat systems from Intelligence Community data
- Implementation of RF models using A2PATS, CEMSIM, DEES, and NEWEG systems.
