Job Summary:
PIC Group has an outstanding opportunity for a qualified Quality Manager supporting a 640MW brownfield construction project in Kentucky. The Quality Manager will report directly to the Site Manager and will be directly responsible for the implementation of quality assurance and quality control at construction site, complying with end user requirements, regulatory & statutory requirements, and OEM requirements applicable to the products & services delivered. The Quality Manager will oversee project operations and programs support that include standardization, quality management, document management, quality methods creation as well as maintenance, process improvement and tools for the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all required project quality processes are fully developed and implemented.
Perform regular and routine site visit and spot quality control checks on the work in progress.
Assure the Site Quality documentation structure is set up and compliant to the contract and includes Site ITPs, Site ITPLs, and Site Quality Plan.
Work directly with the project team to oversee all quality actions on site.
Represent our client's Quality Manager role on site to the customer, authorities, and any other external party as needed.
Lead all compliance actions on site, aligning required inspections and approvals.
Plan and facilitate all required site inspections.
Manage and oversee all site documentation, assuring on time delivery with exceptional quality and accuracy.
Lead all Site Quality audits as required.
Assemble and manage an efficient, experienced quality team.
Provide quality assurance induction training to the site personnel.
With the assistance of a third party or internal qualified Welding Supervisor, fully deploy welding processes and requirements.
Ensure all inspections, tests, and quality records are continuously compiled as per the work progress, by the Subcontractors Partner and the involved client site team as well as monitor proper data loading in the archiving database.
Job Requirements:
Extensive hands-on experience pertaining to all Quality Assurance & Control required for a construction site.
Prior working experience with GE 7HA.03 technology, combined with gas plant operation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all personnel levels.
Proven management and leadership skills.
Demonstrated problem solving techniques and skills.
Prior experience of leading projects professionally and to completion.
Exceptional documentation, planning, and program execution skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop and lift (up to 25 pounds)
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and potential hazards
Ability to work in an active construction project.
Education / Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
College education preferred, or a combination of HS Diploma combined with 15+ years experience in a similar role.
10+ years relevant work experience in a similar role within the power industry.
