As part of our ICT Risk, Compliance, & Cybersecurity Team, the specialist will support compliance with industry frameworks, regulatory requirements, and third-party risk management in alignment with West Monroe's growing consulting business. Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Responsibilities:
Security Compliance Management:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance programs based on industry standards (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, ISO).
- Support regular risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities and make actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Help ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, by assisting with assessments and implementing best practices.
Third-Party Risk Management:
- Contribute to third-party risk management efforts by helping to identify and assess risks associated with vendors and partners.
- Assist in developing and managing vendor risk assessments, reviewing security practices, and tracking compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address vendor-related risks and support efforts to enhance vendor risk management practices.
Audit Support:
- Assist in coordinating internal and external audit processes, ensuring documentation is well-prepared and aligned with regulatory and industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather evidence and documentation for audits, ensuring readiness and adherence to timelines.
Compliance Frameworks and Emerging Technology Assessments:
- Contribute to the assessment and understanding of emerging technology regulations, especially related to AI usage, data protection, and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with team members to apply ISO standards and ensure compliance with data governance requirements.
Continuous Monitoring and Process Improvement:
- Help implement continuous monitoring practices to maintain real-time awareness of compliance status.
- Identify and document areas for process improvements, making recommendations to enhance security compliance, data privacy, and vendor risk management initiatives.
Collaboration and Training:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, legal, and operations teams to support a unified approach to security compliance, data privacy, and third-party risk.
- Assist in providing guidance and awareness on compliance requirements and best practices, especially in GDPR, CCPA, ISO, and vendor risk management standards.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Basic understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, NIST), and vendor risk management principles.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
