Job Summary:
Direct the organization's financial activities and cost accounting practices, as well as its mid-range business information system applications, administrative functions, materials costing & logistics, and operation issues as they arise.

Direct the organization's financial activities and cost accounting practices, as well as its mid-range business information system applications, administrative functions, materials costing & logistics, and operation issues as they arise.
Essential Functions*:
- MONTHLY GL CLOSE - Process month-end closing procedures.
- JOURNAL ENTRIES - Prepare and enter general journal entries as required.
- ACCOUNT ANALYSIS - Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
- BANK ACCOUNTS - Reconcile monthly bank accounts.
- AUDIT ASSISTANT - Assist with audits as required.
- COMPANY CREDIT CARDS - Process Company credit card statements with backup documentation and enter in the accounts payable system for payment.
- ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE - Complete customer qualification requests and assist credit/collections with posting issues.
- VARIANCE ANALYSIS - Perform manufacturing variance analysis and problem resolution
- OTHER - Work with inventory, fixed assets, and sales & use tax issues as they arise.
- AD-HOC REPORTING & ANALYSIS - Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- PAYROLL PREP - prepare payroll for bi-weekly processing
- GENERAL HR DUTIES - hire, terminate, recruit, benefits
Education / Training / Skills / Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5 years related accounting experience
- Knowledge of ERP manufacturing systems and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Understanding and ability to apply GAAP
- Ability to lead cost accounting functions
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of organization
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical ability
- High level of initiative and strong work ethic
- General HR knowledge
