General Description
Lake County Public Works is a sewer and water provider to 40% of Lake County residents and owns, operates and maintains more than 750 miles of pipe, three water reclamation facilities, more than 100 pump stations, an excess flow facility and a 1-mile-long levee. This position in Public Works will, as a primary function, oversee the departments preparation of intergovernmental agreements.

General Description

This position in Public Works will, as a primary function, oversee the departments preparation of intergovernmental agreements.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the departments preparation of Intergovernmental Agreements by participating in routine reviews with the State's Attorney Office, discussions with retail and wholesale partners, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Manage the Billing Department.
- Function as the department's FOIA Officer.
- Oversee the department's Safety Program.
- Manage the department's Grants Program.
- Manage problematic customer concerns.
- Assist with the annual budget preparation.
- Assist in the formulation of policies relating to Public Works activities.
- Prepare reports and schedule activities affecting Public Works.
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Education Required
- Ability to organize project documentation and to schedule and conduct meetings.
- Gather, organize, and analyze technical data or information related to the assigned projects.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision and as part of a larger team.
- The ability to manage multiple projects.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Engineering.
- 5 years of related experience; knowledge of public water supplies, sanitary sewer systems and/or water reclamation facilities.
- Valid driver's license supplemented by a satisfactory driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Performs light to medium work that involves walking, standing, stooping, jumping, stretching, or lifting.
