Summary of Position

Chestnut Hill Hospital is seeking a dedicated BC/BE Psychiatrist with a strong commitment to quality patient care to join our compassionate team on the Senior Behavioral Health Unit (SBHU). The SBHU is a 20-bed, inpatient care unit serving older adults who seek behavioral health services and require a short inpatient stay. The SBHU is designed to educate patients and families to better manage their conditions and ongoing recovery, developing healthier coping skills and a safe and secure follow-up plan for post discharge care.

This beautiful location offers a supportive practice environment enhanced by the premier resources of a renowned Academic Medical Center.

Highlights:
Provide treatment and care for patients with a variety of conditions including depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and anxiety
Typical schedule: Mon-Friday 9:00 am - 5pm, weeknight "phone" call and weekend Fr-Mon call in a rotation
Average of 3-5 daily inpatient consults on the 20-bed unit
Multidisciplinary care team of skilled Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, RNs, Therapists, and Behavioral Health Technicians

Required Candidate Qualifications
MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license & DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment
