This position offers a hybrid schedule (in-office & remote/work from home) or an onsite schedule and flexible hours. Candidates will need to reside near Charleston, SC to ensure work site flexibility.

Position Description

Responsible for corporate and division level financial analysis, including cash flow impact, contribution margin, staffing plans, budget consolidation, performance results and financial reports.

Essential Functions
  • Oversees financial support for a Division or portfolio of Programs, provides supervision and or coaching to financial analysts and makes recommendations to Division leadership.
  • Researches various financial issues, assesses impact to financial statements, evaluates options and makes recommendations as appropriate.
  • Maintains ongoing financial forecasts for Division and/or portfolio performance and offers insight and analysis.
  • Understand and apply cost methodologies at the expert level. Provide financial analysis and reporting support for various divisions/departments on an as needed basis.
  • Process Contract Analysis Action(s) (CAA) and Contract Master File (CMF) as required. Process CAAs and validate, upload and maintain the CMFs including contract/project authorizations and funding adjustments from approved documentation per established guidelines and associated contractual requirements.
  • Update Costpoint as needed for contractual authorizations, modifications and funding adjustments as required.
  • Generate and/or prepare monthly financial management performance reports and charts as required.
  • Monitor internal/external directives.
  • Write and run existing reports out of TM1 and CER and provide support to other departments.
  • Collect, verify, and compile data for the annual operating plan.
  • Provide business support to all divisions/departments through analysis of budgets and incurred costs, and preparation of the annual operating plan.
  • Prepare government and commercial cost proposals utilizing established cost methodologies including the more complex and involved cost proposals.
  • Provide monthly cost allocation support as assigned.
  • Ability to document and maintain department policy and procedures and desk guides.
  • Ability to run cost pool analyses and predict rate impacts at the expert level.
  • Prepare information for Board of Directors or Executive Team presentations and calculates various performance measurements, including contribution analysis.
  • Routine interfaces with senior executives required.
  • Create and present training materials to other Financial Analysts; act as a mentor.
  • Interface with auditors as required.
  • Create and maintain financial reports for new initiatives and joint ventures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement process improvements making the organizational more effective and efficient.
  • Assists with preparation of response to requests for proposals.
  • Review and approve government and commercial cost proposals as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree plus three or more years related work experience or a Bachelor's degree plus five or more years related experience; equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in government and commercial accounting environments.
  • Ability to interpret multiple sources of diverse data, provide conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to serve external and internal customers and appropriately prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts.
  • Exceptional computer skills, with an emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.
  • This position will need the ability to access US only data systems - US Citizenship is required and/or must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance (for certain projects/programs).
