Principal Engineer Product Definition_JL

You are a system expert with a lot of relevant experience, ideally within a large, global matrix organization? In this role, you will support system definition along the GaN Business Line key applications, within the new GaN HV Product Line, with a special focus on consumer and industrial products; as well as support the CoolGaN Drive product roadmap. Job description:

In your new role you will:

• Work as a system expert, and contribute to system definition along GaN HV key applications
• Act as a Product Definition Engineer for high-frequency power converters, define right-fit product requirements, create target datasheets and act as technical interface to R&D and customers
• Design and layout application boards and verify correct functionality by lab measurements
• In collaboration with Product Marketing, implement the GaN product roadmap
• Support and align with System Application Engineer & Product Application Engineer for system concept and product verification and design-in collaterals including reference designs, models and design tools; support regional technical G2M activities

You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:

• A degree in electrical engineering, or similar
• At least 6 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry
• At least 4 years of experience in high-frequency power conversion or wireless charging
• Experience with PCB layout for reference designs, preferably also including GaN components
• Proven experience with customer interaction and demonstrations
• Inspiring team collaboration skills
• Self-Motivated and pragmatic, team player with proactive mindset and good interpersonal skills
• Very good written and spoken English communication skills, German as a plus
