Who You Are:
PSI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Comptroller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in general ledger accounting, payroll, project controls, and accounts payable along with a solid understanding of GAAP and public accounting practices. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in general ledger accounting, payroll, project controls, and accounts payable along with a solid understanding of GAAP and public accounting practices. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting and project-based controls, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervise accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP in all financial reporting and accounting practices.
- Prepare and maintain financial operational model
- Conduct technical accounting research to address complex transactions and ensure compliance with evolving standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required
- 5+ years' of accounting experience including prior Comptroller/Controller roles
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, GAAP, project controls, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software applications such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration across departments.
