Description:

The Full Stack Java Developer will support the Federal Services program and team to work on the next phase of a critical Java application. This role supports the application's development, deployment, and post-delivery warranty period. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and compliant web applications. Must have solid experience looking at the infrastructure of an application build, and figuring out appropriate workflows. This is a Java application using Spring MVC framework, Hibernate, JPA, and connects to an Oracle database

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java and modern frameworks
  • Design and manage workflows based on analyzing the infrastructure of an application build
  • Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deliver secure and accessible software solutions
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and 508 accessibility standards
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to secure coding practices
  • Conduct data migration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Deploy and maintain applications in a production environment with adherence to DevOps principles
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including database administrators and QA engineers

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Full-Stack Development, working with multi-platform, multi-database, and multi-language applications

Technical Skills:

Frontend: JavaScript, JQuery, JSP, JSTL, Bootstrap

Backend: Java 8, Servlets, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Spring Security

Database: SQL, Hibernate, JPA with annotations, Oracle DB (preferred)

Tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins (preferred)

Other: XML, JSON, LDAP, Cybersecurity Remediation, 508 Compliance

Language: Fluent in English

U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Skills:

Experience with WebSphere

Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices

Understanding of CUI compliance and data security

Work Environment:

Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams

Flexible working hours to meet project deadlines

Secure handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

Deliverables and Milestones:


Contribution to phase 2 of the application build for delivery by May 1, 2025

Support during the post-delivery period

Participation in phase 3 development
