Opportunity

The Director of Human Resources for the Hospitality business is an essential strategic partner, shaping the culture through every aspect of HR, from collaborating with leaders to fostering unity and teamwork among our talented associates. This role serves as a key member of our Hospitality business Executive Committee, ensuring your voice is heard at the highest level. The leader is responsible for connecting the people goals to the overall business strategy and objectives by providing solutions, through partnership and talent strategies that create a clear vision and roadmap for the future. The bold leader will build a culture of trust and collaboration and effectively inspire and motivate teams across the business. A champion of change who leads with empathy and makes a difference through diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace, providing coaching and consultation to business partners and key stakeholders. Continuous learning will be a key driver for innovation and in delivering extraordinary experiences for guests and associates alike.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Partner with the President - Hospitality to drive talent strategies, plans and organizational capabilities.
  • An expert at building relationships across all levels, the leader will work to advance Talent and Culture initiatives through communication and coaching.
  • Build the credibility of the HR function by ensuring we have the best team on the field for Hospitality HR and a strategy and plan that supports the Hospitality business plans, builds talent, and elevates the service culture.
  • Develop a talent acquisition approach, structure, team and processes to ensure that Hospitality is identifying and selecting the best talent.
  • Embed a service culture utilizing "By DESIGN" to provide exceptional experiences for our guests at Kohler. Embed this into the Hospitality talent processes.
  • Ensure an approach in leadership that creates synergy with the Kohler enterprise, while recognizing where hospitality is unique.
  • Focus on partnership with leaders to develop internal talent for internal succession


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience with proven abilities in leading best in class people strategies in a manufacturing environment. HR experience in a hospitality, retail and/or real estate business preferred.
  • HR change agent who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible, and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assess HR implications of business strategies and priorities.
  • Ability to use data and reporting to drive strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across global organization to optimize outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate plans into phased actions.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Continuous learner who stays up to date on latest HR trends, regulations and best practices. Always seeking new knowledge and skills to improve their own performance and the performance of their team.
  • Able and willing to travel globally.

The salary range for this position is $148,250 - $191,850. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
