Pay Range: $80,000-85,000 per year (dependent on experience) + up to 15% bonus

OVERVIEW:

The Financial Analyst III supports the Financial Planning and Analysis team through the creation and maintenance of timely provider compensation reports and analyses related to all aspects of Provider Compensation. The Financial Analyst III will be tasked with compiling all data related to Provider Compensation inclusive of Key Performance Indicators for provider productivity in their respective clinic locations. The performance of this position will be measured by the effectiveness of creating and compiling the monthly compensation reports, ensuring provider incentives are processed timely and accurately, and assist in implementing policies and procedures for efficient, effective administration of provider payments, compliance, and financial reporting of employed provider contracts. The Financial Analyst III must be highly motivated, self-sufficient and thrive in fast-paced settings. Excellent communication, organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal and team skills are a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compile the monthly provider bonuses accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for assisting in the communication to providers of the results of their monthly compensation incentives, as needed.
  • Responsible for calculating the monthly provider net revenues which are used to determine the monthly provider bonuses.
  • Monitors all provider employment agreements, contract provisions, updates and revisions as required.
  • Ensure legal compliance with government regulations with respect to STARK and the Anti-Kick Back legislation governing referral source relationships and FMV.
  • Assists and provide feedback to Provider Liaison, Operations, Development, and Accounting departments in determining appropriate financial contract terms.
  • Ensures compensation reports are in adherence of operational/contract changes.
  • Assists in the identification of areas of concern and develops a recommended course of action for contract problems requiring intervention or resolution.
  • Proactively identifies problems/opportunities and participates in implementing solutions or process improvements
  • Assists in the preparation of departmental annual operational and capital budgets, as well as interpretation and variance reporting as it relates to provider compensation.
  • Supports the Finance Manager of Provider Compensation during the budget and reforecast process as needed
  • Works with Provider Liaison and legal to ensure adherence to guidelines, rules and regulations. Assists Provider Liaison in revising and updating agreements.
  • Displays consistent behavior that enhances the public image of the organization as evidenced by professionalism in interactions with peers, subordinates, providers and other third parties.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality in the areas appropriate to compensation.
  • Interacts collaboratively with colleagues within Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, and others throughout the organization
  • Assist with other provider compensation calculations and analysis, as needed
  • Assists with the preparation of ad-hoc financial presentations to be used by Senior Management and Board of Directors, as directed
  • Other financial and business analysis reporting projects, as required.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Position requires good communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels
  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance practices
  • Strong investigational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to identify potential or unusual issues, make appropriate decisions, and escalate for assistance when needed
  • Proficiency in Excel (strong knowledge and use of VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, and other excel functions); ability to quickly learn new computer programs; and experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Preferred Database reporting capabilities (Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau, etc.)
  • Budget tool experience a plus (Adaptive Insights/Workday Platform)
  • Skilled in analyzing trends and interpreting complex data
  • Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of legal forms and legal requirements for employed provider contracts and addendums.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:

  • BS Accounting
  • Minimum of 2+ years related experience in financial and business analysis
  • Healthcare and/or healthcare insurance industry experience is preferred
  • Experience with Provider Compensation is preferred
