Summary: The Sales manager will be responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts and new Business Development ensuring client satisfaction and revenue growth. The role will also be involved with developing sales strategies, overseeing the sales process, mentoring and training sales representatives, and collaborating with other departments to maximize the success of the sales function.

Essential functions:
- Manage a portfolio of assigned client accounts, ensuring strong, long-term relationships.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion, upselling and cross-selling products or services as appropriate.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to drive sales strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within each account.
- Track and manage sales activity and customer interactions using CRM software.
- Monitor and analyze account performance metrics to ensure targets are met and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product, and customer service to ensure client needs are addressed and fulfilled.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed targets.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop action plans to address any sales performance gaps or challenges.
- Ability to travel nationally 30%+

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or a combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of sales experience with automation, distribution, or manufacturing; experience in a leadership role, with participation in, or control of the sales department a plus.
- 3+ years of direct sales team management experienceincluding managing a cross-functional team that works both in the office and externally.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and strategic objectives as an individual and sales leader.
- Experience working with technical teams to deliver automation solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Must be a self-starter with integrity, innovation, and can pay attention to details.
