Title: Healthcare Informatics Specialist
Salary: Starting at $70,000 - $95,000 -- depending on experience and qualifications
Status: Full-time, Salary, Exempt
Reports to: Director of 340B Program
Location: Mesa, AZ OR Hybrid / Remote (quarterly travel to Arizona required)
Preference for remote candidates currently located in US states that we are set up to do business (Arizona, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Minnesota).

Essential job functions/duties

- Maintains deep understanding of the EHR system(s). Must have knowledge of EMR management software solutions.
- Present and resolve reconciliation issues as they arise while monitoring and tracking the reconciliation process.
- Work directly with the Program Manager and Director of Pharmacy to help facilitate data monitoring to maximize the capture of 340B referral claims.
- Monitor existing privacy, pharmacy, and information security compliance practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits; implements corrective action plans and related training.
- Organize internal communications for stakeholders of all levels including agendas, meeting minutes, and compliance monitoring results.
- Assist the Program Manager with internal operations, troubleshooting clinics and departments as needed.
- Attend national 340B conferences and explores potential partnerships, scheduling discussions and demonstrations.
- Perform special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis.
- Maintains knowledge of current professional trends and practices through participation in professional organizations and attendance at seminars, conferences and other continuing education programs.
- Conducts ongoing controls analysis of privacy, regulatory compliance and IT security processes to ensure controls are designed and operate effectively.
- Continually evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of privacy, regulatory compliance and IT security processes and controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client and patient data, while ensuring compliance with applicable frameworks by monitoring, assessing, and improving compliance controls, under the guidance of senior colleagues.
- Recommends or executes remediation measures/corrective action plans and develops resourcing and cost estimates for applicable mitigation strategies.
- Monitors company systems and applications for potential cybersecurity incidents, investigates and analyzes their nature and scope, and identifies compliance gaps. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate remediation strategies.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve IT security metric outcomes, providing consulting, guidance, and support to clients and internal stakeholders. Acts as a liaison between IT, process owners, and internal/external audit groups to support audits, assessments, and compliance testing.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
- Candidates should have excellent interpersonal communications skills and must be able to work independently and effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude who works well in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
- Work requires analytical skills including oral and written comprehension and expression to collect information from diverse sources.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Clinic and Pharmacy staff in order to meet departmental objectives.
- Work requires excellent communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.
- Experience and an intermediate to advanced skillset with spreadsheets and other accounting applications (Excel, Lotus, Access, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree (BA or BBA preferred)
- Required: Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare compliance and information security experience, preferably in an enterprise with pharmacy operations.
- Preferred: Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
- Preferred: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Travel:
- Quarterly travel to Phoenix-Mesa, AZ office (4x per year) and travel to 1-2 conferences per year to represent the company in the Informatics space
