The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Rochester seeks a clinician with fellowship training in musculoskeletal oncology and a commitment to a career in orthopaedic oncology. The successful candidate will be ABOS board eligible or board certified. This is a full-time position. Initial academic appointment will be determined by the candidate's academic curriculum vita. The Department of Orthopaedics has 60 clinical and 14 full time research faculty. We are the sole orthopaedic clinicians for UR Medicine, a seven hospital clinically integrated network serving a population of close to a million patients in western New York. The Department is organized into 9 sub-specialty divisions, and the successful candidate will join another fellowship-trained orthopaedic oncologist, and 4 advanced practice providers in the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology and Metabolic Bone Disease. The Division collaborates closely with the University's Wilmot Cancer Center, the busiest cancer center in New York State outside of New York City. Clinical duties include the care of primary and secondary musculoskeletal malignancies, support of the osteoporosis program and a modest amount of general orthopaedics and trauma care. https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/orthopaedics/index.shtml

Qualifications

Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in orthopaedic surgery with fellowship training in orthopaedic oncology surgery. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted New York State medical license. A post-offer health assessment is required.

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
