The Opportunity: The Clinical Practice Lead is responsible for providing leadership to the Registered Nurses as well as providing comprehensive primary care health to our patient population, supporting CSFS's vision of integrated services, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members. Within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurses in British Columbia, the Clinical Practice Lead will focus on primary care, health promotion, disease prevention, rehabilitative care, supportive care, administration, research, data management, and quality assurance.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $54.76 to $61.64 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.

The Opportunity: The Clinical Practice Lead is responsible for providing leadership to the Registered Nurses as well as providing comprehensive primary care health to our patient population, supporting CSFS's vision of integrated services, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members. Within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurses in British Columbia, the Clinical Practice Lead will focus on primary care, health promotion, disease prevention, rehabilitative care, supportive care, administration, research, data management, and quality assurance.
- Functions as an experienced clinical mentor, resource, and champion in the delivery of excellent client care to nurses and other team members.
- Provides nursing leadership and strategic advice supported by public health sciences and nursing theory to promote, protect and preserve the health populations in an Indigenous context.
- Integrates quality improvement and risk management into clinic practices, evaluating and care changes, and recommending updates to policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with clinic team leaders to establish priorities for nurse and team learning based on assessments of individual and team learning needs.
- Analyzes information such as competency assessment, practice changes and quality improvement initiatives to determine and deliver effective learning and mentoring support
- Teaches treatment procedures and demonstrates care techniques, and presents health care information to staff, patients and family caregivers.
- Delivers patient/client care in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures and the goals, objectives, guidelines and directions of Carrier Sekani Family Services.
- Promotes good public relations and community awareness within the multidisciplinary team and others, including community resources such as Northern Health, local RCMP, schools, and MCFD.
- Assists physician or Nurse Practitioner with examination and procedures per request and supporting physicians who have patients in Prince George with exams, follow-up, and virtual sessions and implements physicians and or NP orders, identifying and seeking clarification as necessary.
- As part of the Primary Care Team, participates in case conferences, treatment plan reviews, and staff meetings.
- Contributes to effective financial planning and management by following the organization's established financial policies and procedures.
- Monitors and approves medical supply ordering and program expenditures, ensuring compliance with approved budgets.

What You Will Bring to The Role:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and/or Registered Nurse;
- Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses' of British Columbia (CRNBC)
- 5 years experience in a clinical health setting or cross-cultural health promotion field;
