Symphony seeks a VP of Tech Partnerships and Growth to expand our impact in Silicon Valley's tech ecosystem. You will take full ownership of strategic partnerships with leading technology enterprises, high-growth startups and venture-backed innovators, building on Symphony's deep-rooted relationships and impact in the region.
In this high-impact role, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand existing partnerships, and represent Symphony as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, founders, and most innovative tech teams. Your entrepreneurial mindset and ability to connect with stakeholders will drive Symphony's continued growth in the world's most dynamic tech environment.
This role focuses on business development and partnership building, with a strong emphasis on fostering relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue growth. You are a Stanford GSB graduate with a passion for relationship building, business development, digital or product sales, and go-to-market strategy. You have built or are well on your way to building a successful career in any of these fields, with a proven and positive track record
You have spent a significant part of your career working in or with Silicon Valley's tech ecosystem, including startups, venture-backed companies, or high-growth tech enterprises.
You thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and you are building a strong network of stakeholders across Silicon Valley, including founders, investors, and incubators like StartX, Y Combinator, and Techstars.

Key Responsibilities:
New business development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on expanding partnerships and revenue growth in the Silicon Valley ecosystem
Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive business growth
Relationship building and management
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in the Silicon Valley ecosystem - entrepreneurs and C-level executives, relevant funds/incubators and relevant communities
Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and identifying opportunities for collaboration and joint projects
Go-to-market strategy development
Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy to enhance market presence and drive growth
Identify and define additional value-added services and innovative solutions to strengthen the partnership
Partnership expansion
Own and develop key strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing mutual benefits
Foster existing partnerships and cultivate new ones, focusing on long-term growth and success.
Lead the strategic planning process for existing partnerships, including managing P&L to achieve growth targets
Make strategic decisions regarding investments, team hiring, and pricing to support partnership expansion
Value proposition and service evolution
Evolve Symphony's value proposition to meet the changing needs of partners and clients
Identify areas where Symphony can add the most value and tailor offerings to meet these needs effectively
Market and content strategy
Collaborate with marketing to develop relevant content and communication strategies to support business goals

Cross-functional collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including delivery, recruiting, and resourcing, to ensure alignment with partnership needs and opportunities

Requirements:
Educational background: Stanford GSB graduate and a prior education in Business Administration, Marketing or Tech
Professional experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a startup or tech company within the Silicon Valley community. A proven track record in business development, go-to-market strategy, sales operations, or similar roles
Relationship-building skills: Exceptional proficiency in networking, actively engaging in the Silicon Valley community to forge connections. Exhibits enthusiasm for cultivating and sustaining relationships with entrepreneurs and tech leaders within this community
