Strategic Sourcing Manager - Fasteners

The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Fasteners is responsible for the development, implementation and management of sourcing strategies, methodologies and best procurement practices to achieve continuous supply and optimized inventory levels for the HYTORC Fastener Product Category. This role will leverage extensive product knowledge and experience in the Industrial Fastener category to identify and implement best in class industry practices from design to manufacturing to ensure a robust and highly cost competitive supply chain. Additionally, the Strategic Sourcing Manager - Fasteners leads a working team of Procurement agents in tactical procurement execution and vendor management to ensure continuous supply and optimized inventory levels relative to production and sales goals in a dynamic and fast changing market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Fasteners will utilize extensive product and procurement knowledge to source Fasteners at the most favorable price and terms for HYTORC Industrial Bolting Systems while simultaneously supervising and guiding the Procurement agents in the same tasks for their assigned vendors. The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Fasteners will build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers as well as internal and external stakeholders and leverage those relationships to achieve continuous supply and optimized inventory levels for the HYTORC.

• Responsible for procurement and purchasing activities for the HYTORC Fastener Category. Prepare, review and issue purchase
• Develop and implement purchasing plans and inventory targets for the Fastener Category.
• Lead, supervise and coordinate the efforts of Procurement Agents in Direct tactical procurements in the Fastener Category.
• Report and coordinate suggested adjustments to work distribution to Procurement Department Manager for review and implementation.
• Lead procurement cross-functional engagement with Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Quality and other departments in support of the Fastener Category.
• Proactively support Sales to confirm purchasing requirements, ensuring timely purchase of good to meet customer
• Ensure that all contract procedures (HYTORC Terms and Conditions and SOPS) are followed and executed in a professional
• Keep records of business transactions inventories, reporting data to companies or gov't. agencies as

Education/Experience Required

• Post-secondary diploma and /or equivalent work experience in materials management or business.
• 7-10+ years of experience in a similar role; preferably in industrial engineering and manufacturing of Fastener products.

Computer Skills Necessary

• Experience with entire Microsoft Office suite is required.
