about the role
Key responsibility: Business Partner support> ie Sales and Commercial Management interface
Responsibilities
Close and Business Review reporting:
Review of financial performance through monthly close. Includes making appropriate journal entries
Produce input to MBR (Business Review) presentation, including Gross Margin reporting and professional services
Gross Margin reporting
Assist with communication and presentation of business performance during internal review.
Coordination quarterly customer P&L reviews
Assist on Bi-monthly regional pipeline reviews
Practice Support for the sub region:
Provide on-going finance support to the Professional Services, IS (FS/ERS) and SM practices.
P&L performance analysis and communication.
Support with GS&P org. reviews and interlocks.
Ad-hoc analysis including: revenue, product margin, systems & process.
Support practice head with communication and presentation to business community.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Monthly Rebeca revenue forecast
Responsible for managing bi-annual Budget and on-going Outlook process for IS and SM practice.
Input and extract data from corporate budgeting tool (Horizon,OTC, etc).
TTM Support:
Support the sub-region team with preparation of financial input and general support to the TTM (Time to Market) process.
Including review and approval of financial Business Case (P&L / NPV / Payback etc).
Capex Monitoring:
Produce and/or analyze monthly capex report based on order requisitions and accounting data.
Profitability analysis:
Work with GCP team on profitability analysis. Support decision making on profitability targets. Analyze actual vs Targets.
Ad-hoc:
General Accounting guidance to Bus Ops e.g. Revenue recognition/Inventory Provisioning/Capitalization etc.
Support with Deal approval and Ordering queries.
Skill Profile
Accounting qualification (preferable) / equivalent business degree / MBA.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Ability to apply financial knowledge to interpreting underlying business performance.
Proficient with MS applications: Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
Knowledge of Oracle and Horizon a plus.
