Job Description
The Assistant Director of EUI works under the direction of the Sr. Director and/or Director and is responsible for operational oversight for developing and managing a high-performance functioning team as set forth by the Director. The End User Innovations team is responsible for establishing and maintaining end user hardware, software and process standard across the system, ensuring that configuration standards are met in alignment with of New York City Health + Hospitals mission critical goal of providing service excellence in patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public or Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior or a related discipline and three (3) years of full-time experience planning, developing and monitoring programs, systems and/or procedures in support of administrative management initiatives, one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or
2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above and four (4) years of full-time experience, as outlined in "1" above, two (2) years of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Job Description
The Assistant Director of EUI works under the direction of the Sr. Director and/or Director and is responsible for operational oversight for developing and managing a high-performance functioning team as set forth by the Director. Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent the Director of End User Innovations in meetings, walkthroughs, conference call, etc. Oversee projects and ensure they are on schedule and requirements are understood.
- Oversees, provide direction and supports the day-to-day operation of the End User Innovations team which includes Enterprise Apple Technologies, End User Standards and End User Device Lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution to request and incidents.
- Plan, design, analyze, evaluate and lead or co-lead projects implementation activities.
- Maintain and establish relationships with existing or new vendors to ensure effective collaboration
- Providing technology insights with an emphasis on end user hardware, software, processes, communications technologies and operational excellence.
- Promptly responding to information enquiries and service request from IT service lines, site directors, hospital leadership and end-users.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues, including issues with workflow, software, hardware, device integration; and follow or create a corrective action plan to resolve requests and/or escalate for resolution as needed to the appropriate EITS technical team(s) and/or vendor for resolution.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the End User Device related budgets, ensuring required amounts for device refresh is accounted for in the submissions.
- Maintaining teamwork schedule and coverage.
- Coaching, counseling, developing and mentoring staff to work more efficient and develop the less experienced staff. Conduct effective performance evaluations.
- Ensuring minimal escalations through proper communication, management of expectations, partnership with Application Owners, Site Directors, EITS leadership, hospital staff and EITS service lines.
- Lead or participate in user groups, project teams, convening conference calls and meetings.
- Facilitates team meetings effectively.
- Understands how to communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully and escalate promptly to the Director when required.
- Develop an understanding of system management tools used and supported by the team within New York City Health + Hospitals.
- Required to travel to the various facilities within the five boroughs to attend meetings; perform walkthroughs; build and maintain relations ships with the facility teams and leadership.
- Maintains, follows and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of EITS and New York City Health + Hospitals guidelines, processes, practices and procedures.
- Prepared and willing to do any other reasonable instruction or task on time and correctly.
- Managing time efficiently, effectively, set priorities appropriately, schedule calls, able to maintain professional demeanor under stress and operate within customer standard operating procedures.
