Advanced Thermal Corporation (ATC), is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Brock Group and is the leading manufacturer of the best engineered, removable insulation systems, insulation covers, jackets and blankets. We engineer and manufacture the best, reusable and removable industrial blankets and covers for: Chilled Water & Cryogenic Applications, Heat Exchangers & Header Covers, Steam & Gas Turbines and Valves/Pump Covers. We have been serving some of our existing customers for more than 30 years. Manufacturing facilities are located in Wood Dale, IL (Union) and Jacksonville, TX (Non-Union).

Job Details

The Director, General Manager is accountable to oversee the overall operations of the business with a laser focus on the development and deployment of Sales & Marketing strategies to grow top line revenue. The successful candidate will be able to identify and develop new business opportunities and grow the existing client base within ATC as well as continuing to nurture a mature book of existing business. The market segments we target are: OEM, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Nuclear, Capital Projects and various other markets that have needs for thermal and acoustical covers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the highly skilled, tenured team to maintain our market leading safety, quality, and service organization.
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to meet corporate goals.
  • Creates and executes business plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Assembles deliverables prepared before passing to client.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities, identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities.
  • Effectively conveys our value proposition in written/verbal business discussions.
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
  • Identifies customer issues and works with the operational lead to provide resolution.
  • Utilizes subject matter experts within the business development function.
  • Utilizes CRM to track and prepare reports of business opportunities.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote services.
  • Completes the Sale and delivers on revenue and profitability targets.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (experience may substitute).
  • 5-8 years' experience in related field.
  • Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with various levels of management, customers, and operations.
  • Able to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, public speaking.
  • Proficient with business technical writing and modeling presentations.
  • Comfortable using IT technology.
  • Basic competence understanding income statement and financial metrics.
  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in interpreting and applying company policies to issues and problems.
  • "Hands-on" approach.
  • Travel as required to regional offices or jobsites.

Work Type:Full Time

Compensation: $175,000 - $200,000 annual base salary DOE + full comprehensive benefits package.
