Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Outstanding Designs: Produce CAD plans and details for a wide range of Roads + Highways projects, including new construction and rehabilitation of municipal roads, intersections, and related infrastructure.
- Advance Your Expertise: Utilize leading CAD applications to deliver high-quality transportation construction plans.
- Innovate in Roadway Design: Design specialized elements, including roadway alignments, profiles, cross-sections, grading, and drainage components.
- Ensure Accuracy: Maintain precise project electronic files, archives, and as-built plans to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Lead by Example: Share CAD best practices and mentor team members, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
- Contribute to Success: Perform additional related tasks to support the successful delivery of complex roadway design projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: 8+ years of CAD design experience in Roads + Highways projects. A university degree, college diploma, or Certified Engineering Technician (CET) designation in a related field is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in AutoCAD and MicroStation; experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads Designer (ORD) in an engineering context is essential.
- Digital Competence: Knowledge of MS Office, 3D design tools, and IT fundamentals, including networking and software troubleshooting.
- Client-Focused Approach: Commitment to delivering exceptional solutions that exceed client expectations.
- Innovative Mindset: Eager to discover and implement creative strategies to address transportation challenges.
