Make an impact with our Forensics & Litigation Support team as a Senior Manager. This diverse team of professionals delivers solutions to their clients through financial analysis, accounting and investigative expertise, and delivery of expert testimony. Our services include forensic accounting, fraud investigations, economic loss quantification, litigation support, and proactive fraud risk management. As a trusted advisor, you will support the team through analysis of financial data and information, delivery of high-quality reports, and practice development!

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the successful execution of the proposal, planning and delivery of client engagements.
  • Develop high-quality reports in preparation for client delivery, detailing procedures conducted, findings and conclusions, recommendations (if any), and related schedules.
  • Structure and manage a wide array of engagements to ensure high-quality delivery in relation to fraud investigations, litigation support and disputes, economic loss claims, workplace investigations, and proactive fraud initiatives.
  • Manage and assist with the preparation of financial data analysis to support in litigation matters and provide expert testimony, if required.
  • Calculate economic damages in relation to economic loss claims and effective reporting of the quantification through a report with supporting schedules.
  • Determine the flow of funds (tracing) between accounts and illustrate the findings through reporting and supporting schedules.
  • Manage the analysis of complex financial allegations and matters and develop independent expert financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Manage and assist with the analysis of financial information and data, supporting documentation, and interviews, through the use of forensic accounting techniques.
  • Manage and assist with the development of working papers to support analysis conducted and procedures performed.
  • Conduce pre-acceptance procedures, including conflict checks, open search research, engagement letter drafting, and effective client communication.
  • Effectively manage engagement planning and team scheduling to ensure alignment with engagement agreement. Consistently monitor project metrics and financials and flag any deviations or projected deviations in a timely manner.
  • Network in the region and identify potential proposal submissions opportunities as well as other business opportunities.
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.


Skills and Experience

  • CPA and CFE designation
  • Experience working in a professional firm is an asset
  • Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and or CBV designation is an asset
  • Master of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc) is considered an asset
  • Diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting (DIFA) program completion is an asset
  • Legacy CA IFA designation is considered an asset
  • 8 to 9 years of public accounting experience; advisory or consulting experience is considered an asset
  • Strong business and practice development skills
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada Contract Security Program
